MCP server for options data

Your AI is guessing. Make it read the tape.

Connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP client to live gamma exposure, options flow, market health and scanner signals. Ask in plain English. The answer comes from the data, not from memory.

Free accounts get a limited preview, no card. Premium is $49.99 a month for full results.

Also free: TickerTrace, daily ETF holdings changes with its own MCP.

Example answer shape, not a live reading

A smart model with no data is a confident guess.

It answers from memory.

It has never seen today's gamma, flow or breadth. Ask if a setup is good and it says yes anyway.

It cannot tell rich from cheap.

Without IV rank it calls every premium a good sell. The number it needs was never handed to it.

It has no desk.

Your watchlists, scans and levels live somewhere it cannot reach, so every chat starts from zero.

Markets, filings, macro and world events in. One connection out.

    Your AI

Claude, Cursor, Codex or Gemini reads the result and answers.

You get derived signals and levels. The raw vendor feeds stay with us.

Read it. Rank it. Keep it on your desk.

The model changes every month. The connection is what you keep, so a new model is just a better pilot in the same seat.

Read

Dealer gamma and Apex levels, options flow and dark-pool rollups, IV rank, market health and breadth. Derived scores and levels, with units on every number.

Rank

Scanners that do the filtering: breakouts the options tape is also buying, gap continuation, bounce finders, earnings positioning.

Keep

Your own watchlists, readable and editable by your AI. Your broker holds the money, and no tool places, changes or cancels an order.

What your AI gets to read

Every tool below is real and callable today. They return derived scores, levels and verdicts, never raw vendor rows. The full reference is in the developer docs, and the features page covers the web platform behind them.

  • Gamma and levels

Where dealers are long or short gamma, the flip, and the strikes price gets pulled toward.

    get_gex_ticker get_gex_overview get_apex_levels

  • Options flow

Scored unusual activity, the session's flow lean per name, and dark-pool rollups.

    get_unusual_activity get_directional_flow get_institutional_activity get_dark_pool

  • Volatility

Is premium rich or cheap against the name's own history, and which structures fit.

    get_iv_rank get_edge_xray get_strategy_ideas

  • Market health

Breadth, credit, volatility, liquidity and the macro regime in one read.

Also free: see what ETF managers are buying

TickerTrace is a free sister project. It tracks the daily holdings of actively managed ETFs and shows what changed since yesterday. It has its own open MCP server with no account and no key, so your AI can read it right next to TraderMatrix.

  • What changed

Daily buys and sells by fund, ranked by conviction-scored signals.

  • Where funds disagree

The same ticker moving in opposite directions across funds, plus sector flows.

  • Option legs

Option positions in option-income funds, grouped into spreads, collars and rolls.

  • “Which names are ARK funds buying this week, and what is dealer gamma doing on them?”

    TickerTrace get_changes + TraderMatrix get_ticker_snapshotboth servers

  • “Where do ETF funds disagree on a ticker, and is the options tape backing either side?”

    TickerTrace get_divergences + TraderMatrix get_unusual_activityboth servers

  • “What did ULTY buy and sell since yesterday?”

    TickerTrace get_fund_detail, get_changesTickerTrace, free

TickerTrace is a separate project with its own data and terms. It describes what funds hold. It is not investment advice.

The honest contract

A signal is a claim. Our own evals do not report a result on fewer than 40 samples, and a signal that fails a clean test gets shelved. Screenshot this.

This can

  • Read gamma exposure, options flow, IV rank, scanner signals and market health
  • Answer from numbers that carry their own units, not from memory
  • Manage your own watchlists
  • Work with any MCP client, so a new model plugs into the same connection

This cannot

  • Place, change or cancel an order. No tool does
  • Guarantee a profit or turn a weak idea into an edge
  • Hand out raw vendor quotes or option chains. You get derived scores
  • Tell you a signal works before it has enough samples to prove it

Connect in about ten minutes

  1. Try the free endpoint. No account and no key.
  2. Make a key for everything else. Sign in, open Settings, then Developer, and generate one. Any account can.
  3. Ask a question. Watch the tool call run, then read the answer built from the result.

no keyServes the premarket gapper scan. Paste into any MCP client's config.

The free endpoint is the same one behind the premarket gapper scanner. Never edited a config file? The setup guide walks through it click by click for every app.

Your AI, your broker, your call

Will my AI make things up?

The numbers come from the tools, not from the model. Each tool returns derived values that carry their own units, and the model quotes them. A model can still misread a result, so ask it to show the tool call it used.

Do you trade for me?

No. No tool places, changes or cancels an order. Your AI reads and researches. You decide, and you place the trade at your own broker.

Is my money safe?

Your broker holds it and we never touch it. A key only reads TraderMatrix data and manages your watchlists. You can revoke a key any time in Settings, Developer.

What does it cost?

A free account gets a limited preview. TraderMatrix Premium is $49.99 a month and returns full results. The Developer API add-on is $29.99 a month with a subscription or $49.99 without, and adds REST access and higher limits.

Does it work with my AI?

Claude (desktop, Code, phone and web), Cursor, Gemini CLI, Codex, and any client that speaks MCP. The setup guide has a click-by-click path for each.

Is there anything free beyond the preview?

Yes. The keyless TraderMatrix endpoint serves the premarket gapper scan, and TickerTrace, a separate free project, has its own open MCP server for daily changes in what actively managed ETFs hold. Neither needs an account or a key.

Do I need to write code?

No. You paste one block of text into your AI app's settings, once.

Where does the data come from?

The gamma, flow and scanner outputs are computed by TraderMatrix. You get derived scores and levels, not raw vendor feeds, which is why the tools return signals and not option chains.

Is this investment advice?

No. It is a research tool. Signals describe the market. They do not predict it.
